Commercial Music & Jingles

  • Explore the following clips, old and new, to figure out how the advertizers are using music to create product recognition.
  • Your task will be to create your own jingle/commercial for a fictional product.
  • It must be catchy and somehow reflect one or more qualities of that product.
  • Melody is VERY important in this challenge.
  • No commercials for drugs or alcohol (legal or not!) - keep it PG please!

    STEPS TO GET STARTED:

  1. Create a simple melody (use no more than 4 or 5 notes)
  2. Think about why this works for your product and make changes if necessary
  3. Maybe think of some lyrics that fit with your melody, or a rhythm that is catchy
